One year after delivering Ambassador to Coordinated Caribbean Transport (CCT), MEYER WERFT presented the shipping company with Diplomat, an almost structurally identical ro-ro ferry.

Just one year after being commissioned, the ship was renamed “Senator”. In the decades that followed, the ferry sailed under the flag of both the Marshall Islands (Micronesia) and Cyprus. The ship formerly known as “Diplomat” was sold and scrapped in Turkey at the end of 2009. It was called “Crowley Senator” at the time.
