Ferries manufactured for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for urban passenger transportation have full length of 41.20 meters and full width of 10 meters. Bottom body is constructed from steel material, and upper structure from carbon fiber. The maximum speed reached by the boat is 13 knots via two diesel main machines (2x369 kw), two reduction gears, two shaft lines, and two rudder propeller systems.

The project which will increase the city’s sea transport in Istanbul with its passenger capacity of 700 is now in construction phase for 4 ferries, and will be delivered in the end of 2014.

Bidirectional type ferries discharge its total capacity in 3 minutes. They are specially designed for handicapped passengers, providing ease of use with its features ranging from walking bands to disabled lavatory.

As the ferries operating in city lines are double-headed, they do not require maneuver for passenger evacuation and passenger embarkment at ports. Thus, their cruising time decreases, and offer fuel saving.
