Ranging from 2.5 to 50T, our locking headboard car covers the entire range of yachts, from performance driven race yacht, right through to the biggest superyachts. Combining our car range with the unique gaff locking system has revolutionised the way we handle large square-top mainsails, making the arduous ‘plugging-in’ of the sail a thing of the past.

HB Car key design features:

Titanium cartridge carries all the vertical load, hence lowering moment position in the car and reducing track levering
For gaff square tops, a unique double head plate system splits the vertical and horizontal load components acting on the car
Pawls work together, no master or slave, and are both rated to take full MWL for extra redundancy in the car
Pawl profile ensures that it is impossible to false lock on fastener holes in track
Safety system to allow triggers to be disengaged independently from trip line
Either external or internal trip line can be used with unique actuator box
