This furling jib is made from a solid woven polyester cloth or woven dyneema, keeping the nice white look for years and years to come. The cross-cut sail design is a widely used design that is a very price conscious choice. Battens which are orientated parallel with the headstay will ensure a more stable leech and flatter exit. This sail is normally delivered with UV protection in the foot and leech, and E-Flex in the luff for better shape when the sail is partly furled in / reefed in heavy wind.

The trioptimal design of this furling jib distributes the forces the sail is exposed to optimally ensuring a stable sail shape. A shape that is efficiently maintained for many years, can also be improved with battens supporting the leech.

Material

The polyester laminate used in our MARIN segment is a high-end cruising laminate characterized by low stretch. Very durable and ideal for furling sails.

Woven Dyneema is a strong sail cloth, tightly woven as a high tenacity fabric. The woven dyneema cloths are polyester fibers with a grid of dyneema.

eXRP Cruise is a high-end laminate, where the main parts of the material are made from recycled polyester, that is the film, the taffeta, and the polyester fibers. The combination of black polyester fibers and white taffeta makes up for a greyish look. The eXRP cruise comes in 3 qualities where the heaviest is further stabilized with UPE virgin fibers. The material is soft and easy to handle, and furls easily when used in furling sails.

Taffeta used as an outside layer on both sides adds strength and durability to the sail.
