Pipe deployment floats, the so-called “tie-in”, are used to support the weight of pipes during the launch of a pipeline.
Tie-in floats are usually utilized from 10 to 300 m of depth, but if necessary higher depths can be reached.
It is possible to combine the modules in order to obtain buoys with different buoyancies.
Buoys can be fixed on pipes with different types of straps according to necessity: steel straps, steel and textile straps, special plastic material straps.
Resinex was one of the world’s first producers of pipe deployment floats: starting from the early 90s, more than 3000 floats have been manufactured for the world’s largest pipe laying projects.
